Extended Day Clubs

Whilst Cann Hall do not offer wrap-around care on site, the services of an organisation called Chestnut Grove provide the following:

• Breakfast club from 7:30 till 8:45
• After school club from 14:45 to 18:00.
• Holiday clubs during the school holidays, Monday to Friday from 8:00 till 18:00.

Extra-curricular Clubs

We offer a number of after school clubs which run for a term. All places are booked via termly letters which parents sign and return to the teachers or office.

At the start of each term, we publish a list of the clubs that are running and any associated cost.

Our clubs starting the week beginning the 5th January 2026 are:

• Alternate Tuesdays (starting 06.01.2026) - Years 5 & 6 - Boys' and Girls' School Football Team 3:20pm until 4:20pm
• Tuesday - Years 1 & 2  - Ball games - 3:15pm until 4:15pm with Colchester United
• Tuesday - Years 4 & 5 - Lego Club 3:15pm until 4:15pm with Mr Roberts
• Wednesday - Years 3 & 4 - Basketball 3:15pm until 4:15pm with Colchester United
• Thursday - Years 4, 5 & 6 - Tag Rugby 3:15pm until 4:15pm with Colchester United
• Friday - Years 2 & 3 - Dance 3:15pm until 4:15pm with AMA Dance Academy
• Friday - Years 5 & 6 - Hockey  3:15pm until 4:15pm with Colchester United
• Friday - Year 6 - Mixed School Netball Team - 3:20pm until 4:20pm with Mrs Spall & Miss Manning

• Monday  - Years 3, 4 & 5 - Singing Club  3:15pm until 4:15pm with Miss Byrne
