Reception Admissions for September 2024

The Local Authority co-ordinates the school's admission applications for children due to start school in September 2024.

For mid-year applications please contact us directly on 01255 420603 or email chcontact@compassps.uk  so we can advise you if there is a vacancy in the year group you are enquiring about.

Please complete the admissions form which can be found below.

Upon receipt of this form, we will contact you within 15 school days to confirm if a place can be offered.

If your child has an Educational Health Care Plan, you will need to contact the local authority SEN department in order to consult on admission to our school.

Admissions during the school year

Admissions priority Reception to Year 6 

There is no guarantee of a place for children living in the priority admission area.  In the event of over subscription places will be allocated using the following criteria in the order given: 

  1. Looked after Children and previously looked after children (as defined in the Primary Education in Essex leaflet); 

  1. Children with a sibling living at the same address who will be attending the school at the time of the child's admission; 

  1. Children living in the priority admission area; 

  1. Remaining Applications. 

In the event of oversubscription within any of the above criteria, priority will be determined by straight line distance from home to school, those living closest being given the highest priority.
